Garden District Book Shop's Cookbook Club welcomes Kathleen Flinn. This month's cookbook selection is:The Kitchen Counter Cooking School.There will be an a knife use demonstration that includes: basic knife anatomy, how to chop an onion, the concept of "sticks and cubes" and basic knife care.Kathleen will bring snacks andfew "bonus" recipes for the attendees and a guide to meal planning and shopping that is being incorporated into the ebook. She will also discuss the opportunity to volunteer as a recipe tester. A fun program and that has developed into a lovely community - invite people to sign up by writing to info@kathleenflinn.com.
Email photos of dishes that made from either of her books (to the address above). Kathleen will show them off at the event (via an iPad or similar) and post the best ones on her blog the next day, promote the cookbook club.
All meetings are pot-luck. Bringing food is encouraged but not required. New members are welcome. Kathleen Flinn discusses and signs her book, The Kitchen Counter Cooking School.
