Mason Hereford - Turkey and the Wolf: Flavor Trippin’ in New Orleans

The Chicory House  and The Garden District Book Shop will host cookbook author, award-winning chef and friend, Mason Hereford, to celebrate the success of his New York Times Best Selling cookbook, Turkey and the Wolf: Flavor Trippin’ in New Orleans. The cookbook is a fun, flavorful collection of recipes and stories, complete with more than 95 recipes and Power-Ups featuring Hereford’s irreverent take on Southern food, from his awarding-winning New Orleans restaurant, Turkey and the Wolf.

In Turkey and the Wolf, Hereford shares lively twists on beloved Southern dishes, like potato chip–loaded fried bologna sandwiches, deviled-egg tostadas with salsa macha, and his mom’s burnt tomato casserole. This cookbook is packed with nostalgic and indulgent recipes, original illustrations, and bad-ass photographs. Filled with recipes designed to get big flavor out of laidback cooking, Turkey and the Wolf is a wild ride through the South, with food so good you’re gonna need some brand-new jeans.

The evening begins with festive refreshments provided by The Garden District Book Shop. Mason will be on-site to sign books and swap stories with the guests. Books will be available for purchase at The Garden District Book Shop. Those who have already purchased a book are encouraged to come get their book personalized and mingle. The event is free and open to the public. 

All citywide-mandated COVID safety protocols will be in place.
