Neil White - The Mississippi Football Book - Friday, September 8th

HAPPY HOUR WITH THE AUTHORS OF THE MISSISSIPPI FOOTBALL BOOK

On the eve of the Tulane vs. Ole Miss game, veteran sportswriter Rick Cleveland and writer/publisher Neil White will host a spirited happy hour at The Garden District Book Shop to celebrate the release of their new coffee-table book, The Mississippi Football Book. Part narrative, part encyclopedia, and part Guinness Book of World Records, The Mississippi Football Book features the greatest teams, coaches, and players from Mississippi’s remarkable football past — and present.

The celebration will kick off with a happy hour featuring light refreshments. Guests will be able to chat with Cleveland and White about all things football and get their copies of The Mississippi Football Book personalized. Happy hour goers should anticipate some very special guests featured in the book!

In addition to select stories focusing on the state’s greatest players, The Mississippi Football Book also ranks the top passers, rushers, receivers, and defenders at every level of play — from high school to professionals. The book lists every national championship team, every single-season statistical leader, every member of the Pro, College, and JUCO Football Halls of Fame, the winningest teams and coaches in history, rare feats, Mississippi football and pop culture, Mississippi football in film, notable Mississippi football books, not-so-great-moments in Mississippi football history, and much, much more.
