Susan Cole’s Holding Fast: A Memoir of Sailing, Love, and Loss was recently released and  will celebrate at The Garden District Book Shop.   Holding Fast is Cole’s debut memoir and is the story of leaving everything behind to follow her husband's lifelong dream of sailing away.

Blond, blue-eyed, irreverent John bursts into Susan's life in her twenties with a dream of sailing off. Susan dreams of settling down and doesn't want to go. A three-year voyage with their young daughter Kate to the Caribbean profoundly changes their lives. A gripping adventure story and an inspirational memoir of finding our power in the unlikeliest of places.

The event is open to the public. There will be a welcome reception followed by a Q&A with Cole.   Books will be available for purchase and signing.

All state-mandated COVID safety protocols will be in place for in-person events. Proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result within 72-hours of the event is required for entry.
