Jenny Anderson at the GDBS

The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to announce that celebrated Broadway photographer, Jenny Anderson, will be at the shop on August 21 to celebrate the release of her first book The In-Between: Intimate and Candid Moments of Broadway Stars.

In a world of marquee names and big personalities, Jenny Anderson is a legend in her own right. She has worked with the most important performers in theatre and used the power of photography to tell the stories behind the stories: what happens backstage on a Broadway show.

The evening will kick off at 6:00 PM and Jenny will be joined in conversation by Le Petit Theatre's artistic director A.J. Allegra. After their discussion, Jenny will be available to mingle with guests and personalize copies of her book. The event is free and open to the public but books can be reserved ahead of time on Eventbrite.

Jenny Anderson

Jenny Anderson is a Mississippi native and an Ole Miss Alum who has lived and worked as a photographer in New York City for the last eighteen years. For six years, she served as the photo editor for Broadway.com and is currently a contributing photographer for ABC/Disney Television, and Getty Images. Her work covering the Broadway community-from rehearsals and show openings to editorial work and the American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards with some of the stage's biggest stars-has been featured in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Town & Country, InStyle, People, and other global publications.
