It’s easy—just show up! The Garden District Book Shop Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6 PM. We read a mix of fiction and nonfiction, with selections voted on quarterly by club members. No sign-ups required—just come ready to discuss great books!

Is there parking?

Yes! Parking is available in the garage, with the entrance located on Washington Ave. Parking is free and spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, there is street parking available throughout the neighborhood.

Yes! Our store is wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator located in the parking garage, as well as two designated accessible parking spots. If you need any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to call us at the shop (504)895-2266.

How do I get to The Garden District Book Shop?

We are located in the heart of the Historic Garden District at 2727 Prytania St., inside The Rink.
Driving & Parking: There is a parking garage with an entrance on Washington Ave., as well as street parking available in the neighborhood.
Streetcar: Take the St. Charles Ave. streetcar to the Washington Ave. stop, then walk a block to our shop.
Walking: New Orleans is a very walkable city, just remember your sunscreen!
Rideshare & Taxis: Uber, Lyft, and United Cab can bring you directly to our address.

Yes, we are dog friendly! Our shop has a beloved bookshop dog named Pete, who loves to meet visitors. We kindly ask that dogs be kept on a leash while inside.
