The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to announce that author and wildlife biologist Michael Birt will be back at the shop on Saturday, September 6th to celebrate the release of their latest book Michael the Wildlife Detective and the Haunted Mansion.

The event is free and open to the public.

Michael the Wildlife Detective is back with a third adventure for young readers.

First, there are small bones all over the mansion's patio. Then, strange screeching noises at night. And now, glowing eyes? There has to be an explanation. Michael follows the clues, closes the case, and gets the job done!

Wildlife biologist Michael Birt is founder and president of ResearchWild!, a wildlife conservation project, and owner of Michael the Wildlife Detective LLC, which specializes in humane removal of wildlife from homes and businesses in the New Orleans area. With a passion for wildlife conservation, he has spent time studying land, wildlife, and marine management in Australia, Fiji, Botswana, and South Africa. He has worked as a zookeeper at the Fort Worth Zoo and as an animal care specialist at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, recognized for its endangered species breeding program, and Audubon Nature Institute. Michael and his wife reside in Marrero, Louisiana.
